IDPC Publications

A key role and added value of IDPC is the production of policy analysis for a broad range of audiences including academia, civil society and policy makers. The majority of these publications are collaborations with members and partners, and are translated into multiple languages to support and facilitate advocacy.

TNI/IDPC Expert seminar on proportionality of sentencing for drug offences

A total of 31 people attended and comprised a mixture of domestic and international policy officials, the judiciary, and practitioners as well as representatives from non-governmental organisations and academic institutions. Four themes were covered over the course of the day: the international perspective on the issue of proportionality, the UK Experience and Consultation on Sentencing for Drug Offences, the concept of proportionality with a focus on different levels of involvement in drug offences, and drug mules.

IDPC response to the EMCDDA - The European Union and illicit drug market indicators

In response to the EMCDDA call for input from experts to revise indicators monitoring the supply of illicit drugs in the European Union, IDPC prepared a submission promoting a set of indicators covering the levels of market-related harms to give a better picture of the achievements of drug law enforcement.
