Participants discussed drug policy in Poland, the European Drug Strategy and Action Plan, cannabis drug policy reform, decriminalisation, and the 56th Session of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs.
The challenge for governments, civil society and citizens across the hemisphere is to use the OAS report as a tool for debating present drug policies and ultimately crafting effective and humane alternative approaches.
The report finds that the black population is 3.73 times as likely to be arrested for marijuana possession in the Unites States compared to white people.
