INPUD announces the launch of a new network of people who use drugs in sub-Saharan Africa: the Tanzanian Network of People who Use Drugs (TaNPUD).
TaNPUD was officially launched on January 31, 2013, following an intensive 4 day capacity building and leadership skills workshop delivered by INPUD and supported by Médecins du Monde (MdM Tanzania) at their drop in centre in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
The launch follows initial seeding work carried out by two INPUD consultants in June 2012. INPUD will be providing intensive secondary support via email and Skype, with follow up visits to Tanzania planned throughout 2013.
