On behalf of the Australasian Professional Society on Alcohol and other Drugs, we are pleased to invite you to join us in Adelaide for the 2014 APSAD Conference.
This year’s conference theme, The times they are a changin’ was chosen by the Scientific Program Committee to reflect the changing times and increased pressures faced by the drug and alcohol sector. Clinical and non-clinical research is also dramatically increasing our understanding of dependence, prevention and treatment. Now is the time to come together and celebrate the achievements of our sector in beautiful Adelaide.
The conference, to be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre from Sunday 9 – Wednesday 12 November 2014, will feature an exciting program of international and national speakers, focusing on new treatments, prevention and policy in the areas of drug and alcohol research. With original and innovative work from the field, the program will encourage alternative presentation styles.
The Poster Session will continue to be a core event of the APSAD Conference in 2014. Selected abstracts, from research to clinical, from all disciplines, will be presented by colleagues from across Australasia and the world. The poster session offers the perfect platform for delegates to see and discuss achievements, ideas and developments face-to-face. In conjunction with the poster session, Poster Tours will be run. Keynote speakers will select the posters that best demonstrate quality research and clinical practice and conduct small group discussions of their chosen posters.
