Alex Lamb Guevara

Alex is an Anglo-Colombian feminist with over 20 years of experience working with social movements in local, national and international HIV and sexual and reproductive health and rights programming. She has extensive experience in programme management, monitoring and evaluation, and resource mobilisation and donor relations with private philanthropic foundations and multilateral agencies on behalf of international, national and local NGOs, predominantly in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Prior to her current role in Resource Mobilisation at AWID, a global feminist movement support organisation, Alex served as Programmes Director at Fundación Si Mujer in Cali, Colombia — a feminist abortion provider and educator working on access to abortion, gender-based violence and challenging gender norms among adolescents and communities in rural and conflict-affected regions. Alex has also worked at RedTraSex — Latin American and Caribbean Sex Worker Network and the International HIV/AIDS Alliance.
She has a BA in International Relations and Development Studies from Sussex University and an MSc in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
