The purpose of this living document is to assist service providers in better understanding the needs of the trans, gender nonconforming, and nonbinary (TGNCNB) community when utilizing Syringe Service Programs (SSPs). This toolkit serves as a source of information and is not meant to be read all the way through in one sitting. Instead, the goal is to use each component of the kit as both a learning resource and a place to return to when questions arise.

This guide was created by TGNCNB individuals with the hope that it will help you gain a deeper understanding of the lived experiences and nuances of the TGNCNB community as they seek services.

This document is grounded in a Harm Reduction, anti-racist, and intersectional framework. It is important to highlight this because it allows us to contextualize our communities' lived and living experiences as we encounter systematic barriers that hinder our ability to thrive.
