Guidelines for debate: What is drug policy?
The Drug Policy and Harm Reduction Programme at Espolea wanted to know what young people from around the world understood by the term 'drug policy'. So after dozens of workshops with groups of young people in Latin America, Europe, Middle East and Australasia in 2011, we connected the dots between the drug phenomenon and its correlation to young people and law enforcement. Moreover, we learned that more and more young people are asking themselves the same question we did: What is the drug policy? How is it made? How do we reform it?
To help young people answer these questions and conduct their own discussions, we launched an edition of Guidelines for Debate (GPD) that aids fostering interest in including young people in the reform movement at whatever capacity they are interested and may do so. The text is available in English, Spanish and Portuguese and may be downloaded for free at anytime.
